One thing I like about it right now is I can skim through which contest I want to enter. It's a waste of time opening a thread and seeing nothing appealing to me.
Plus I like the fact that some RFDers post the trivia answers for the contest in the thread so I don't need to look for them, which can get confusing if you organize them in one thread.

Question re :contest posting
Is there really a need to have 20 different threads with contests all from the same source? I see the NOW contests, TRIBUTE contests, DOSE.CA contests all in different threads. It would be more organized I think if all are grouped together.

I agree with OP. I wish all those 'Now Magazine' contests were all in 1 thread. it seems very spammy to see the front page consist of 10+ Now Magazine contests.
I mean I appreciate someone taking the time to post them but it's just my opinion.

for companies that always have a continuous flow of contests like Dose, Now, Newspapers etc., we should just have a link to their contest pages.

I would have to disagree. I feel each individual contest should get it's own thread. It makes it easier to determine if it's a thread you want to follow or bookmark or not. If the only the reason to bunch them together is because they are from the same company, then would it stand to reason that every Nestle contest should go in one thread or every Rogers contest; two companies that host a plethora of contests.
I like the one thread per contest model._______________

I agree with Bidchka and vilmark because you want to find a contest that appeals to you and its not worth it looking through a big thread with all these contest, you might as well just have separate contests in separate threads.

How about sub forums for each so a person can post seperate threads within that forum for the different contests.

I agree I found the NOW threads annoying when I first saw them yesterday, but after clicking on one, it was enough to realize I didn't want to bother with any of their contest so it was easy enough to simply not click on the rest of them. As long as the prize in mentioned in the title, I don't see it as problematic posting a separate thread for each contest.
Well as soon as you click on a link for one of their contests, there's always a contests tab or link on the page anyway for all of their contests or a 'click here for more contests link or something similar, so I don't see the need for this, but I'm only speaking for myself. I understand why others might prefer the link be posted, but perhaps w/i each contest from the site kwim? Then everyone should be satisfied.
+1
