question for Ryerson ITM
do i have to buy their laptop? or can i just purchase my own?
and if im allowed to buy my own, any1 noe what features will be important ?

unfortunately you cant even buy their laptop, you're forced to rent it because of all the licensed software on their laptops. and its about over a grand a year too. with that money, you can buy a laptop thats 3 times more powerful than the schools laptop. but thats how ITM makes their money.

yep, no way around it. dont wanna pay for the laptop? too bad, you gotta. i heard theres a laptop scholarship or something so you can fill that out.

do part time itm and u can bring ur own laptop without paying for theirs
but part time itm is like 6+ years to finish it

I'm in the prog. too. There was a $500 bursary but by the time I received the letter, it was on the due date! I think something's wrong with my address.
Did anyone receive their course selection yet? =x I haven't and will be freaking out as next week I'll be on vacation.

Enrollment Schedule
Access to enrollment functions (add, drop, swap) commences on the dates noted
below. Enrollment appointments may be confirmed through RAMSS.
1st year students – August 15
4th year students - August 17
3rd year students - August 21
Direct entry – 3rd year students – August 21
2nd year students - August 23
The final date for enrollment is Friday, September 15th.

Hi, may I ask what you mean by acess to enroll function? o_0;
For Frosh week Commerce (this means us ITMs and others) will go on a boat or something? I think it's on Friday but not too sure. How is it? I'm worried I may get nauseus and puke on the boat lol ... XP

it means that you can change ur classes
for example moving most of your classes on monday tuesday and wednesday
to get thursday and friday off

you can do that? o_0; whoa... *sweet* lol Will the prof. be the same or different? What if I have an issue with a prof. (I know, deal w/ it but what if I can't? v_v) ?

you can change courses, sections, drop classes, add classes
generally, different section = different prof
but many profs also lecture to multiple sections
if you have a problem with a prof... you'll know almost right away
but enrollment appointments are all until sept 15

only during your enrollment appointment
