Questions about Brock University?
As a 4th year student there, I'd be happy to answer any questions that anyone coming to Brock may have.
As an additional resource, check out www.brockvoice.com, the un-official Brock discussion boards.

What's with that funny looking bullet thing with legs in the middle of the campus? And also, wth is with all those winged whatever flying crap?! (I lived in the residence there for 5 days for a conference).

no offense but I heard that this is one of the worst Universities to go to in Canada.

eyies --> the bullet shaped thing, along with the various other oddly shaped metal objects around campus are just modern art. I don't know who did them, but most have been around for years.
Cake --> It certainly isn't anywhere near the worst school. It ranks in the middle for the university rankings (higher in the globe and mail one), has a number of excellent programs (business, accounting, sports management, health, education, etc), and is a nice campus.
It is smaller than most (capped at a maximum of 16,000 students), but that allows for smaller lectures, and seminars/labs/tutorials. It also isn't as old as most universities (opened in 1964, 40th anniversary last year), so it doesn't have the same reputation or alumni base as most.
It is growing fast, and in my experience the quality of education is just as good as most other schools. Not to bash Schulich, Ivey, etc. but they study the same business theories and case studies as we do, and in my opinion gain the same experience as Brock business does. They have a bigger name, and have been around longer, so it might be easier to get a job out of Queens commerce for example, than it would be from Brock finance.
