Questions I can ask the CFL Commish
Tomorrow I have a conference with Mark Cohon who is the commissioner of the Canadian Football League.
I get the opportunity to ask him some questions...I have some and wanted to get some of your questions....what should I ask him/do you want me to ask him?
All replies are appreciated

Ask him why CFL players make such a small amount of money compared to the NFL, yet they're both pro leagues.

Stuff you can bring up:
- re-implementing the rule where if a player stays on the same team for X number of years, he can be considered a non-import
- coming up with a DVD package for the Grey Cup winning team (and not just when Toronto wins, which is a waste, as Toronto isn't a football city) which consists of: highlights from the year, complete playoff games ... since everything's already filmed, it shouldn't take that much work
- CFL "bubblegum" cards
- alternating uniforms for home and away (ie. home wears colours one year, then switches to white the next)

Ask him if he ever played a game of football in his life.
Ask him if he can name 2 running backs from the 1981 Toronto Argonauts.
It's not as silly as it sounds. This is a true story about Bowie Kuhn, MLB commish for many years:
'' 'Commissioner, name two catchers on the 1944 St. Louis Browns,' '' Kuhn quotes Smith as asking him. ''Surprised though I was, I answered directly, 'Mancuso and Hayworth.' 'My God,' he replied, 'you do know something about baseball.' ''Last edited by skategoat; Jan 21st, 2009 at 04:14 PM.

I've watched the CFL for year. 1981 is a bit too early for me, but if you asked me who the two RBs were from the 1991 Argos, I couldn't tell you. I follow the Lions, and I would have to really think before making a guess at the RBs back then ...
Anyways, Mark Cohon isn't a Gary Bettman. Cohon was a fan of the CFL before he was the commissioner.
