I just found out today i am rejected by my university, my grades fell pretty badly during my last semester. I now need much higher marks to get into a proper university. Is anyone aware of a private high school that could give me the appropriate university credits with minimal effort? for those curious i went from an 80 average to about 63. I had to miss a month of school due to unforeseen complications.

If your not doing too well even in high school academics, do you REALLY need to go into university? Have you looked @ other options?

University is easier than High school in terms of workload. Checkout Beacon House but it cost money, get ready to max out your credit card.

Like i said i was able to maintain an 80 average for the beginning of the year, but due to unforeseen complications, i had other things that were more pressing then school to deal with. It is not a question of capability. I will be attending an university. So if anyone has any personal experience with a credit mill and could recommend one that would be great.

Thanks for the suggestion skyline! appreciated! but Im looking for something a little closer to the downtown core, but doesn't have to necessarily in downtown, but Mississauga is a bit far from where i live. i don't mind paying as long as it isn't in vain.

LOL at this thread. Asking for a credit mill/private school for minimal effort? Whatever unforseen circumstances, it's unfortunate, but trying to take shortcuts into university won't get you anywhere either. Maybe you should have spoke to your teachers in highschool about your "unforseen circumstances".

High school was a mess. Probably had to do at least 4 assignments per class with presentations, essays and tests. University breakdown:Midterm 1: 30% Midterm 2: 30% and Final: 40%
In some courses just replace the Midterm 2 with an essay. Are YOU serious?
Remember I am talking about workload here.

Really? You ONLY had 80 and dropped to 63 and you're considering university? There's your first bad choice.
^This. Any university course (regardless of number of actual assignments) that is lighter in workload than highschool is NOT a real university. Yes, my university courses typically consisted of a 70% final, a 20% midterm and a few assignments worth 10% each, but to actually be successful there, it required an ENORMOUS amount of effort (Honours Math, University of Waterloo). Now, if you're talking teachers college, ya, it's ridiculously easy and a total waste of time (OISE).

High school should have been easy for anyone with the marks to get into a decent university program. There's homework pretty much every single day, I'll admit that, but I think you're forgetting something here. Back in high school, I could wake up at 7:40 and have plenty of time to prepare for breakfast, getting dressed, etc. After all, classes start at 8:30. I also have a guaranteed 30 minute lunch break at noon. I get out of school at 3:30 and can be back home by little over 4 o'clock. Then, I'll spend one or two hours doing my homework. Even then, it's only homework from 4 courses, not unlike university where I take 5 and sometimes 6 courses a semester. Should I go on or do you get the idea by now?
I have looked at some electives in university and they're almost a joke. The first-year econ class I was planning to take was essentially a glossed up high school social studies with a focus on finance/markets. Case in point, I took a practice quiz from the course textbook and scored 50% on a first try. Now imagine how I would do if I had endured 4 months of lectures and actually studied. As soon as you get to some of the higher-level courses, then the difficulty ramps up significantly.
