RIP, loved him on Jeffersons, Amen, and his smallish role on Fresh Prince.

Younger generations probably no little about him, but he was a comic genius. The guy carried the shows: Jeffersons and Amen.

Don't forget that he got his start as a recurring character (and Archie Bunker's foil - think of his character as a Black version of Archie, lol) on "All in the Family". "The Jeffersons" was actually a spin-off of that show.
