I just bought a Radian at Canadian Tire for $159.99. Paid only GST. No PST.

Model# C10600
DOM 2006 08 25
CTpart # 046-6004-8
Granite color

I haven't had a chance to install it yet

Any advice.

Not sure, but I thought all NEW Radians in Canada have a new rating of 65lbs.

I think it means you got an older one, not sure when they switched over, but my Radian was manufactured Nov 06 and it still had the 48lbs sticker. Good price for it though.

I think there is a recall on your car seat based on the DOM you given.

It's not a recall, per se, basically, when you register your car seat with Sunshine Kids, they send you another strap. The strap has been replaced. Not the entire seat, and the strap is only used on forward facing children, so if you are in rear facing mode, you don't need the strap yet. Just be sure to register the seat.

By the time most kids get over 40 lbs (I think 5 years old?), they won't want to sit in the "baby" seat aymore and can make do with a booster seat, so don't worry about it.

Probably true, however, I'd also like to keep my son in a five point harness as long as I can. See my previous post about this. Not everyone may agree, but I'd like to see my son in this five point harness as long as I can keep him in it.
