Is this the teflon pink stuff that's geared for only during the summer? (no sub zero temperatures)

Does it really make a difference on your windshield? I bought a bottle at full price awhile back and was not impressed with the results. Didn't repell any more rain or wash off bugs any better, at least not for me. But this is still a warm deal at 1.99 since you can use it as winter wash at -35.

The RainX Windshield Washer fluid has Summer and Winter version.
The Summer version is pink in color and only good for temperture above 0 C. I find this Washer do better on removing bug when I drive between Toronto and Ottawa.
The Winter version is yellow in color and good for temperture down to -40 C.
It is pretty good to help de-ice the windshield.
On average, I only use half a jug of washer fluid in summer and one full jug of washer fluid in winter. I prefer to pay $2 (Summer) +$2 (Winter) more per year for a better washer fluid in my car.
$1.99 is a good price for Summer RainX washer fluid. I just brought 2 Summer RainX in Canadian Tire last week for $2.39 each.
PS: If the wiper blades is bad, you will get bad result, even through you are using the best the washer fluid.Last edited by wstam; May 26th, 2006 at 11:00 PM.

I like RainX. it helps the moisture flow away from the windshield as you drive, so you can use your intermittent setting.
The winter stuff adds new meaning to "don't eat the yellow snow" when you use it to clear your heavily frosted windshield.....

That's a lot more work than just pouring into your tank though, is it not? It involves cleaning the windshield throughally, wiping, drying, and making sure it doesn't touch the finish on the rest of your car?...

The RainX / Rain Away spray on stuff is great.
I rarely have to use my wipers in the summer...only when I'm not moving or moving really slow. The more rain and faster speeds the better it clears.

Can anyone confirm if this is nationwide? I just checked at the Walmart at Bloor/Duffering (Toronto) and it was the price on the shelf tag said $2.77.
