RAM upgrade: How do I figure out what chipset my laptop has?
I have a Toshiba Satellite A100, Celeron M process (so its MEGA powerful).
The model # is PSAA5C-TA102C.
http://209.167.114.38/support/TechSu...A5C-TA102C.htm
The A100 was apparently made with 3 different chipsets, and the different chipsets have different compatible memory:
Intel 945 (used for other CPU's)
Intel 915
ATI
If "chipset" is synonymous with graphics chip then it is definitely ATI.
Thanks_______________

Windows Device Manager can tell you also.
Look under System Devices.
