For all you Canadians who grew up in the prairies know that the word "gotch" applies to being underwear. There are variations to the word such as "gitch", "gitchies" and "gotchies" which are the plural forms of the root word "gotch". There is no rhyme or reason for this word to be associated with underwear, but it has been for many decades in the prairies. After some research, there is 1 actual true meaning to the word "gotch". It is a mug or drinking utensil made of stone.
