Ok, so we've decided to go the scalper route. Any tips for dealing with them? What's the best time to approach them? How much above/below face should I expect to pay? Any scams I should be aware of?
My plan is to approach two or three people at around 6.15 and take the best tickets that I can get for around $100. Good idea?

Raptor Tickets
Hi All,
I'm heading down to Toronto on Nov 20 to watch the Raps play the heat. I was wondering what's the best way to get tickets? Resale sites (stubhub, tango) tend to be pretty expensive. I'd like to go with a scalper, but I'm not sure what to expect. Are they generally selling for around face value? Above? Below? Should I just buy from ticketmaster?
Thanks for any input.

Good luck in dealing with them... I personally don't have any experience dealing with them, but my dad bought playoff tickets a couple years back, and he was actually brought to the head of the scalper operation, some guy named Mike who was driving a Ferrari. Nice guy apparently...

They can't really charge too much above face value because that would be scalping. lol

RFD, Craigslist,... I'm pretty sure you can find lower than face value tix in a variety of places.

I only use scalpers.
I tend to approach them a few minutes into the game, allowing them to be more reasonable with reducing the face value.
It would only make sense for them to get rid of available on-hand tickets, or else they would lose everything, agreed?_______________

If you are able to negotiate with careful wording, then why not?
The last two Rap games, we ended up 12 rows behind the Raptors bench, prior to that, we were 15 rows in the corner of the backboard (great view regardless) and ended up paying 50% off the face value. Mind you, we did not get into our seats until 8 minute mark of the first quarter, however it is definitely worth it._______________
