The Raptors will win the NBA Championship 2004/2005 season!
Maybe not but they have a better chance than last season it looks like. So far they've lost the first two preseason games but you know what. They're scoring, a lot! Over 100 points both games so far. I'm on the bandwagon!!!

Eh, I'm not a believer. I can only see the Raptors winning the 2004-05 championship in NBA Live...

What's wrong with their defence then? If they are scoring 100+ a game and losing, something is wrong.

Pre-season
If the Raptors win the Championship, that will be equivocal proof there is a god. And that god is a big, giant purple dinosaur.

the run and gun style seems to be just what the doctor ordered.
but we can't guage the full raptor squad based on the 2 pre season games...our starters are not playing the full game, our leading scorer is sitting in the 4th...as far as i see, mitchell is playing the right guys in this situation, and we'll get a chance to see potentials of other talents within the team (other than VC and JR)
so that prediction might be a stretch, but i wouldn't count our raps out yet...and if anything can be guarenteed, it will be some exciting ball to watch...
upside:
mo - playing run and gun style
bosh- authority at PF position (he had some thunderous dunks and beautiful pull up shots)
skip- seems to be running the plays with ease
woods- seems to have a new lease on his career, (i hope it lasts for the season)
undecided
rafael- not sure what to think yet, minutes are somewhat limited and he does look lost on the floor at times...too early to guage
milt- not quite game ready yet...but defence looks good
downside
alvin 'boogy' williams- seems like the only ankles that will be broken is his (or to be more specific knees), we will not be seeing ankle breaking crossovers this year from the heart of the raps
and haven't seen enough highlights to really know how to guage the other raps...but get your purple gear ready for some purple fever (i hope)

Defensively I see them having a lot of problems with starters like Rafer,Jalen Rose and Vince Carter.

yea....i dont think u can judge based on pre-season games...
in both games when they were losing, they didnt' put carter on the floor. mitchell wants to work out the young guys in the first 2-3 pre-season games....getting closer to the start of the season he'll be playing the guys he feels will be the team to go with come Novemeber 3rd.
But yea, the run and gun is definitely more fun to watch.
but the fact they're "giving up" just as many points, is a sign the defense needs to improve
but yea, if they're scoring at least they "have a chance" to win now heh

I can't wait for this season to start
Been waiting for this all summer.
But for the Raptors winning the championship. HAHAHA!! Hey at this point, I'd be really happy if they made it to the conference finals.

A joke right? .500 would be gravy with this team.

if they can make it to the playoffs with a .500 win record, then i think it'll be an insane improvement.
if they can make it to the semi-finals, then i think thatll be enough to make carter happy and stay. hopefully.
Did you guys see Carter's dunk on Samuel Dalembert (s/p?) on Sunday's game vs. the 76ers? it was sick.

As much a joke as the title of this whole thread.

yea Lammond's 15 pts in first game looked promising. hope he can keep it up.
doubt u'd find it on tv anymore unless someone somehow taped it.
even "the score" didn't show highlights from that game. i only managed to see it off raptors tv.
