Rate my PC Build

Hey guys,

I'm building a gaming desktop computer and want your input on my components. I don't plan on overclocking or maybe OC'ing a bit. I'm trying to keep the cost under $1000. Thanks :D

I'd prefer a Crucial, Samsung, or Intel SSD over the OCZ Sandforce device.

Special heatsink isn't necessary if you're not planning on overclocking. Although you may very well be able to go fanless with such a HSF.

620W is plenty unless you're going to add more video cards.

To my knowledge, you cant OC with an H77 mobo.

Decent rig but I don't like the SSD

And the CPU is older model... Go get I5-3570K

And you need Z77 chipset

If you're going to stay on Sandy get Z68.
i7 2600k + Z68 on sale right now.

thank you everyone for the replies :D

I swapped the i5-2500K for the i5-3570k. I didn't know they were practically the same price lol.
And swapped the H77 MOBO for the Z77

IF you're not getting the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus on sale price,
Suggest using Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo instead.

Ditto to replacing the OCZ Agility 3 120GB with another SSD, such as Samsung 830 series, Intel 330/335 series instead.

If you are planning to OC the CPU, get a good Z77 mobo.....entry level Z77 won't cut it for OCing....only good if stock.

Why a GTX 570 video card? It's a generation behind. Unless you are set on nVidia, many here will likely recommend a HD 7870 in the under $200 price range.

570 is by no means a efficient gpu, unless you want a space heater. get something from the 6 series
