Depends on the wash and how you wear them of course. Not everyone is gonna wear their jeans into the ocean.

Did you go into the ocean just for these pics? Seems like it. :\
I have a few pairs of raw denim that I cycle through. I wore a black pair of N&F Weird Guys for a while and those things seemed indestructible and refused to fade. I then wore a Gap pair of raw denim (Authentic fit) for a while and quite liked the fit. Washed once and the finish on the jeans wasn't as nice. They're still my second-most worn pair of jeans. I'm currently breaking in a pair of Nudie Slim Jims and I'll have my first wash in March (6 months). So far they seem nice and I like the fit - the only thing that has me worried is that lots of people report crotch blow-outs for their Nudies.

Yes Nudies are very thin and I hear are prone to breaking easily. If you go on sufu or check fade fridays on rawr denim you can see that the almost always rip/fray/blow before the first wash. I haven't seen a well broken in pair of nudies without at least one break on them.
Saibot, what model are you N&Fs?

2 years! Do you still wear them or are you working on another pair? The contrast on your combs are nice and so is the vertical fading. On my pair of deep indigo I don't notice any vertical fading but maybe because it's just so overdyed and saturated with indigo.

How much did all the repairs cost?
What's the sturdiest brand for jeans? I think N&F are good value for the money.

uh, im kinda still wearing them lol. the fabric has gotten worn out to a point that a week after a repair, it rips somewhere else... so its costing me like 20$ per week to keep wearing them haha (each repair costs $10-35 depending on how bad it is, think ive dumped at least $100 into this). i might post a pic soon of the current condition if ppl want..
untill i figure out how im gona deal with this pair and the constant ripping, im wearing a pair of nudie thin finns cus i got nothing else to wear LOL.
This is my first pair of raw denim so i have no idea what is the sturdiest brand... i think this is pretty good. compared to the nudies i got, its alot thicker and feels stronger/stiffer.
and about the vertical fading.. that came in like on the 10th month i think? before the 10th month it was barely noticable... but right after my first soak on the 10th month, the thighs started fading like crazy.

If you want study jeans buy Iron Heart, though you probably don't want to torture you legs. They usually come in 20+ oz and feel like putting on cardboard. They were designed for motor bikers. N&F has some nice heavy jeans as well from their very popular 21 oz elephant 2s and 26oz black on black which arn't too expensive. They also have the world's heaviest pair the 32oz but they'll set you back a hefty 5 bills. Most Japanese brands have nice denim and have a good history behind them.
