Why always a minimum of 10,000 points?? I have an orphaned amount less than this with Avion and would like to move to BA where I have most of my points but can't do it.

Annoying.

Try calling RBC rewards, am in the same boat as you. I'm going to give it a try tomorrow.

Can this work on my signature rewards visa as well?
I missed out on the 50% back with my avion, and subsequently went to the normal signature rewards due to no anual fee.
I have been stuck with 50k points, do you guys recommend the best way is to wait for converting to BA points?
Most of their other rewards I find not very appealing/worth it, thus been sitting on the points for long time.

BA Avios are pretty useful if you use the with partner airlines like Cathay Pacific or AA.

E.g. Toronto to NYC return on AA was 4,500 Avios. Now I think it's bumped up to 7,500. I've flown Business Class to SE Asia for 100,000 return in the past, though that might cost more now.

Check out sites like thepointsguy or flyertalk for ideas.
