My advice is prepare to be disappointed.

This is a 100% commission job, and they will expect you to sell to family and friends. They will probably ask you how many people you know who you can sell insurance to right away.

Yeah. I applied to this kind of job at Sunlife but it really wasn't my thing (I just wanted to work and make an honest salary instead of harassing people I know at the time). They'll definitely ask you how many people you know, including people you know in the financial and banking sectors, your experience and related designations to the field, and how financially stable you are. If you really want to sell insurance, by all means exaggerate a bit to increase your chances. To be honest though, they hire a lot of people and other companies offer similar roles.
