but i've been researching the traxxas forums.. and it seems that buying the conversion kit and engine from towerhobbies.com would cost almost the same, but u get to keep ur old engine, and the wait time is shorter.

ya just replace your engine.
or replace the parts in your engine.
usually it just needs a new sleeve and/or piston.
if you blew your carb, you can just replace that.
it is good to disassemble your engine for cleaning anyways.

yeah my piston or sleeve is ********..thats why the engine wont crank.. when it reaches a certain spot near themiddle of the sleeve it gets stuck.. like its a real tight fit, thats why my ez start motor stops after half a turn.. i thought about buying a piston/sleeve but that would cost me about $70 us plus shipping.. when i can just buy a new/bigger/more powerful engine for 109 plus tax plus shipping.. im thinkin the os .18 engine.. from towerhobbies..

or maybe a trx3.3 ..but i dont know if my tranny can handle 3.3, too much power..
