Vancouver Sun
Published: Thursday, March 13, 2008
METRO VANCOUVER - Burnaby RCMP have laid charges in connection with a street race on Canada Way and Wayburn Drive that ended in a fatality on April 30, 2007.
Jason David Carter, 38, of Onion Lake, Saskatchewan and Clinton Frederick Carter, 31, also of Onion Lake are both charged with criminal negligence causing death while street racing.
In a written release, RCMP state that Carter was the driver of the Black Ford Mustang in which his passenger, Lyle Hebblethwaite died. The other vehicle involved in the crash was a red Corvette.
Both of the charges were laid under the new street racing legislation which took effect on Dec. 14, 2006.
The bill defined street racing, created five new street-racing offences and upped the maximum prison sentences for them.

if the police weren't totally ******** and brain dead and equal speeding with racing and laying all these bogus charges, we wouldnt have all these stupid delays and costs in our courts.
if police actually did their jobs properly, instead of making stuff out of their ass it'll be a lot easier.
