Before buying, I thought about Price Matching at Futureshop as well (to take advantage of Price Guarantee and 30 day return, but figured the price of a PS3 would not change anytime soon and I intend to keep it anyway.

I don't know if this is a WEST only deal, coupon can be found on the front page of the RCSS flyer that comes in the mail or available at customer service.

The Wii is over $250, why wouldn't it work?

The last time RCSS had the $30 off coupon, I tried to PM at BB. BB said they don't PM coupons :( I guess FS would say the same thing

$369.95 (with $30 In-Store coupon, when you spend over $250)
You'd be at approx $354 in Ontario for the PS3. These coupons are on every few weeks along with the tax free days.

The coupon and tax-free weekends are valid over the same time periods AND you can use them together?!? Wow, that starts getting into seriously hot deal territory.

I think that's only happened once or twice.

On the tax free events you'd pay $399.99 for the PS3 so essentially if you divide that by 1.13 or 113% you get $353.98 and in the end you pay $399.99 as opposed to paying $418.10 if they take off the $30 before taxes assuming 13% taxes in Ontario.

So to sum up.. the moral of the story is the $30 off of $250 is good but waiting for a tax free event will be better but that doesn't mean that you need both to occur at the same time.

I'm in the market for a ps3 and did a little shopping around yesterday. Costco has the 80gig system with 2 controllers and a bluetooth remote for $469 with no games. THe rcss ps3 bundle has spiderman 3 game, one controller, no bluetooth remote for 399 minus the $30. I guess it's the better deal? Typically where is the best place to buy the ps3?

yes i agree during taxe event days its cheaper.

i've posted b4 but i got my 80gb consule, 2nd controller, blu ray remote, and free game (could been bogo free but i just chose one and they credited it)

tax free $455.XX

even with current 30$ off coupon, it'll turn into 475.XX

i'm saving 25.XX if bc taxes were included.

I got my PS3 at RCSS in Windsor for $319.99 in Early November...I was just browsing and I saw the price and thought it was a mistake so I asked and she said thats the price for the weekend only...I couldn't believe it so I ended up buying it when I wasn't expecting to lol

lets see...

Costco PS3
extra DualShock3 (50$)
Bluetooth remote (20$)
399+70$ = 469$....no savings

RCSS
Spiderman 3 game (10$)
399-30-10 = 359.

Conclusion: RCSS is significantly better, but it'd be better with another game or a blu-ray movie instead.
