Rules and Regulations for the Canada 2009 $3,000 Newegg.ca Wish List Contest
TERMS AND CONDITIONS- Individuals are invited to create a Wish List that lists how they would spend $3000 pre-tax at Newegg.ca.
- The list must be created in a new thread in the forum entitled Canada Day 2009 - Create & Win Your $3,000 Newegg.ca Wish List Contest!
- The Wish List must contain name of the products, the current price of the products, and the total, not including tax or shipping cost of the items.
- The total price of the items on the user's Wish List must not exceed $3,000 Canadian at the time of posting.
- If an item is on sale, the regular price will be used to calculate the wish list total. DO NOT USE SALE PRICES.
- If an item has an applicable rebate, it MAY NOT be subtracted from the Wish List total. All Wish List item prices must be before Mail-in Rebates.
- The contest will begin at 12:00PM EST on June 19th, 2009 and ends at 11:59PM EST on July 2nd, 2009.
- Individuals may create only one wish list. Those found to have created multiple lists under a different user name will be disqualified.
- A purchase is not necessary to enter the contest.
- You may not include gift cards as a part of your wish list.
DRAWING & NOTIFICATION- On July 6th, 2009 one user's Wish List will be randomly selected. This user will then win the grand prize - the items on their Wish List, to be provided by Newegg.ca.
- On July 6th, 2009 four other user wish lists will be randomly selected and those users will each win a $500 Newegg.ca gift card.
- The winners will be contacted by the e-mail addresses used to register their RedFlagDeals.com forum account. If the eligible entrant does not respond to the email within 7 days, he/she will be deemed to be no longer eligible to win the prize, and another entrant will be randomly selected from qualifying entries and the process of contacting a new selected entrant will be repeated.
- In the event that an item on the grand prize winner's list has increased in price since its creation and the price increase has pushed their total past the $3000 threshold or that an item is out of stock, the user will be required to pick a different item that does not make the total pre-tax cost of their list exceed $3000.
- In order to win, the selected entrant must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.
- After having been selected as the winner, the winner must provide their shipping address to receive their prize.
- The contest closing date will be July 2nd, 2009. Wish Lists posted after this date will not be eligible for selection.
GENERAL RULES- The contest is open to legal residents of Canada who are residing in Canada, excluding Quebec, and who have reached the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside.
- No purchase is necessary to enter to win.
- By entering the contest, the winners consent to the use without payment of their name, address, and/or photograph and any publicity, advertising or promotion carried out by RedFlagDeals.com and/or its advertising & promotional agencies.
- Odds of winning depend on the number of entrants.

Due to the laws in Quebec we didn't have time to register etc. It also costs money to hold a contest in Quebec.

It can be whatever you want, aside from gift cards.

Yes, if you want, but you'd have to update all the prices on your list. You can't mix and match dates.

I was wondering what you guys do to ensure that people don't open multiple RFD accounts to increase their chances of winning?
IMHO, it would be a good idea to require minimum membership length and/or min number of forum posts.
