compatible?
I read earlier that the RAM does not have to be compatible with the motherboard...so, I'm assuming the CPU also does not have to be compatible? Thanks in advance, these contests are great fun!

Is there a way to find my old posts (without having a new post) so I can find the stuff from my last list and refine it, there doesn't seem to be way to do that in my profile.
I know that after I post this I will be able to use the find other posts, but it seems like a waste to post a message, so I can use that message to find my other message.

Just search for something you had on your list and hope a bunch of people didn't put the same thing on their lists.

Something bugs me. A lot of lists that i browse through have the Regular Price attatched to the item. eg. G25 wheel has about $77 difference Regular to Sale Price. A lot of people could be saving who knows how much (maybe even $400 in savings) and then add another item or 2 or 3 to their list! Even when i told my brother about his list (he could have saved himself $80 - $100) he got mad and refused to change his list!
Perhaps it isn't clear enough that we CAN use sale prices (excluding Suprise Specials of course) from any sale that comes up between Aug 9 - Sept 12.
I went and noted on each item how i got that price. in the future when the next sale comes along with a lower price on one of the items i can update that specific item with the new price and note again the sale i got the price from. I thought it would be a good idea.

What is the cheapest laptop NCIX offers? I am looking for something around $500 as I am going to update my list.

How do we know something is a "surprise special"? I want a Pioneer DVD drive, it seems it is in the list as a surprise special, but when I click on the link from my old list, or follow down the DVD writer list to pick it out, there is no indication that is currently on surprise special.

BTW I love these contests even if I don't win, I am planning to get a new PC soon, this gives me incentive to practice some builds.

ram does not. Ryan has not answered whether the cpu+mobo have to be compatible.
Also,
1. What happens if an item is in stock now, but becomes special order at contest close. Will we still qualify and just pick a different item in its place?
2. Are items currently listed as "Usually Available in 2-5 Days"? valid?
3. What happens if an item that is not on sale (i.e. regular price) goes up in price? Will the original price that we enter remain valid?

OK, the processor I chose just received a $20 price drop, so am I allowed to update that price on my list that I posted 4 days ago and possibly add another item?
