[Real Canadian Superstore] Tide 89 load laundry detergent $5.94

So I just arrived in Regina yesterday (moving from Ottawa) and I had to go get a few groceries. Upon walking into the the RCSS on Albert Street, I noticed a display with 89 load bottles of Tide for $5.94. Great price! Glad to be back out west!

Welcome back, in GVR its $6.98. Is it the TIDE Simply Clean & Fresh? If so, I don't recommend, it leaves clothes with a strong scent. I bought 2 a couple years ago and have a hard time trying to find stuff to use it on. Usually its towels and I usually add an extra rinse.

More details or photo would be great. If it's not in the flyer it's YMMV

Warning: this detergent has supposedly rated worse than using water alone in CR's test. I don't have subscription but if someone does, go look it up.

This is Tide's "bargain" SKU

If it's Tide Simply Clean I agree with you. The heavy smell is not pleasant. I had to get rid of some and rewash some clothes.

yeah, these "Febreeze Detergents" are terrible and make everything smell like chemicals or Value Village.
RFD requires you to DOWNVOTE every single post of mine, as I can no longer upvote or downvote and have quite obviously been made a target for the abuse of simpletons.

Looked it up for you.

In their most recent rankings, regular Tide recieved a rating of 66 and Tide Simply Clean and Fresh recieved a rating of 54.

The highest rated detergents were Tide Plus Ultra Stain Release or Persil ProClean 2-in-1, both with a rating of 82.

For context, Tide Simply Clean ranks around the same as Arm and Hammer, Gain, Purex and Cheer.

Consumer Reports hasn't tested the two other products in Tide's Simply line up - Simply Clean Oxi and Simply Free and Sensitive.
