Recent grad for HR jobs?

Hi all,

My friend recently graduated this past summer, and she's having trouble finding an HR job. Seems like most online postings require at least 3-5 yrs of exp. Does anyone know any good HR job search sites and other sources? Thanks.

Having an HR certificate / being enrolled will help.

Other then that, spam all the head hunters you know of.

HR jobs are hard to get, especially because it is becoming very competitive and the demand is not quite there yet. There are a lot of jobs actually that require 2 years experience, but most positions in any field generally say that. I too am trying to get into the HR field. You will find HR jobs generally are contract jobs for entry level and so may have to take a few of those to build your resume. Try also job agencies like David Alpin or HR One as they have jobs. Also enrol with HRPAO and use their Hire Authority website, they have some entry level positions (if you do not mind working in the West End of Toronto).
