Reckoning: Kingdom of Amalur Comes out Feb 7!!

I played the demo on PS3 last week. Felt that it was buggy (the shield somehow became equipped backwards and the game froze after leaving the cave) and the combat, though fast paced and flashy, was nothing special. The graphics also looked really bad on PS3... like they were down scaled or something.

After reading a bunch of reviews over the weekend I decided to pick it up anyway and I'm glad I did - I haven't been able to put the controller down since I came home. The bugs of the demo seemed to have been fixed, though the graphics still look a bit scaled. The game is cut from the same cloth as Skyrim but it's more like Fable, though not nearly as clunky feeling as the Fable games. I really like it

i got it for ps3 today and the dialogues are sometimes delayed or have no sound at all. Same with the combat sounds, the sound of swinging the sword is really low

Works fine on the PC for me.

Console gamers should be sused to sub-par graphics/sound/performance by now.

I lied earlier; I bought this a few days ago. The PC graphics are amazing, very colorful, but like others, reminds me of fable. I'm enjoying the game quite a bit.

Are you playing the demo? I ran into the same bugs with the PS3 demo, but the forums I have checked indicated that these issues were fixed for the retail version.

I have the retail version and i think i got the worst one. The sound is just non existence and would suddenly turn loud for a sec and die down again. All the dialogues have no sound, no combat sound. Just plain bg music.

Playing on PS3. I love this game. So far no glitches and the only time I get lyp syncing problems is when my hard drive is being slow.

Anyone else finding the ability trees a bit wonky?

To get to the higher tier stuff I find I need to spend a LOT of points in a bunch of stuff I don't want.

Not saying i expect the high tier stuff earlier, it just seems there's a lot of wasted points getting there.

Yea ... I'm not a huge fan of the skill trees. I think I would invest a lot more in finesse if I didn't have to waste so many points ins tuff I don't want ... but you level at a consistent enough rate that it never feels like a grind ...

Overall, loving the game ... it's everything I hoped for. I hope they sell enough copies to make a sequel because if they tightened a few things here and there, this could be a huge series in the making

This game has been getting a lot of flak because the demo was poorly done and gets compared to Skyrim but it's exactly what I've been looking for in a WRPG for a very long time, esp. on a console.

The combat is frustrating at times (I am on a keyboard on a PC) but I still am enjoying the game.

A game like this needs a controller, while I find shooters far more comfortable with mouse and key board... I'm hoping the next gen consoles developers let players pick and choose not only what they want to use (gamepad/KB+M) but map the buttons how they want to.
