Are oil heaters save for kids? Kids may touch the heater so if it is hot then its no good.
All portable heaters would be hot to the touch.

Sounds like you will be running this as a semi-permanent feature of the space. Best to actually put in some baseboard or wall heating in this case, something like: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.stie ... 79140.html (run a new circuit for it.)

I would not recommend oil heaters in enclosed spaces. There can be fumes, and possibility of carbon monoxide. And not forgetting fire risk and possibility of spillage.
Not referring to oil as a fuel source, but oil as a thermal transfer liquid.
Revolutionary times must on occasion make do with considerable abridgements in order to accentuate the political line more strongly.

As other poster said... all heat sources are hot. No kids should be touching any heat source. Oil isn’t as bad as a micro furnace for heat but both with burn.
Gbill2004: Thanks but I'll just smell the couch before/if I buy it.

jonnyb: I go in there like PICASSO and toss the glue everywhere, I don't care what house I'm on.
