Recommend me Keyboard and Mice

I just finished my summer term (phew!~) and thought I'd like to reward myself with something. As I was on the computer, I thought, eh, the set I'm using now isn't really that comfortable, so let's see if I can do better

I'm currently using a Logitech MX3200 Keyboard+Mouse set. The keyboard keys seem kind of sticky and the scroll wheel on the mouse is also relatively hard to press down compared to Microsoft mice. As I open a lot of tabs in Firefox, this bothers me quite a bit. The keyboard also makes it hard for me to type fast without making mistakes.

I want a keyboard that has keys that quickly snap back - something like the IBM/Lenovo keyboards but not with the loud clicky sounds. And the mouse, I just want something comfortable with at least 2 side buttons and a scroll wheel that feels naturally to press on. Every Microsoft mouse I've had was good in this department, so I might ditch Logitech and go back to Microsoft for the mouse.

All in all, I don't want something that looks too formal. Something gamer-ish would look nice, although I'm not that hardcore myself I hope to be able to leave the table with $100 for both items. What do you guys think?

On a side note, I'm also considering a notebook mouse for my laptop. How is the Microsoft Arc? It seems to be quite affordable ($30) and portable.

Eh, I know those are the obvious choices, but I'm more 70% productive and 30% gaming person. I'd rather get something less fancy and with wireless because wired makes me much less productive =]

I have the MX3200 set and it's been pretty good for about 2 years. The CTRL button sometimes seems to stick, but I smoke and while I shake the keyboard out quite a bit, I'm sure there's still some ashes in there.
My friend got this same set at Staples on Boxing day for $29.99 with rebate and his girlfriend's daughter broke the USB receiver on it, so I traded him my older set (not MX3200) for his keyboard and mouse (which were brand new).
So I have a backup keyboard and mouse.
I'm going to use the newer keyboard and mouse and try to take apart my keyboard and really clean it well.

I don't really know, but the keyboard's giving me much resistance when I type onto it. I have to either type quite hard or press the keys right in the middle in order for the key to go down. It's really annoying and prevents me from doing speed typing, so I'm looking for a change.

I use the Lenovo biometric keyboard version. I don't use the biometric features but the keyboard is very comfortable and I like the layout.

As for a mouse, I encourage you to try a Logitech Optical Trackman.

How about the Microsoft Comfort Curve keyboard? It's a little different at first, but it's very comfortable on the wrists, and it only takes a minor adjustment.

You can easily find this for $15-20 when on sale.



There's also a wireless version with a mouse too, if you desire.

I've been using these keyboards for 11 years, old school tech/feel but much quieter, can type very fast. I haven't found a keyboard as good as this one since. I own 2 of them and their $69 but not wireless.

Yeah those have been around for a while. Great feel, reminds me of the old Tandy's.

I'd buy one if I could find it for a good price.
