Recommendation for dog sitter during the day for 2 months old puppy?

Hi all,

We are looking for a dog sitter for thurs and fri this coming week and we are wondering if there are any recommendations for dog sitters around the main and danforth area?

The puppy is a 9 weeks old black labrador retriever and mastiff mix. He has had his first vaccination shot last week.

Thanks in advance :)

What exactly do you mean "dog sitter".

Does your dog need boarding?
Daycare?
Boarding at your home?

Please clarify.

Because your pup isn't fully vaccinated, does he have at least bordatella? Without that, it will be tricky.

Give BFF Playcare a call ASAP --- they're awesome and specialize in puppies, so maybe the vaccination thing won't be a big issue.

The canine social company is also great, and has an excellent reputation.

I have a few the suggestions but that would be my first choice based on the info you provided.

We were looking for a dog sitter or a doggy daycare where we could drop him off or have someone come over to take care of him for a few hours. We looked on dogvacay and seems to be okay. Do you have any opinion/feedback on the website? Looks like a AirBNB for dogs.

He has had his DHPP vaccination only. Not sure what that stands for. That's what it says on the vet bill.

Hope to get more feedback from you, thanks!

I wouldn't use dogvacay - they're not professionals.

Def call BFF .... I'm actually heading over there right now to drop my dog collars off ;) (I have a dog collar/leash line)

I've used dogvacay when I was travelling (in Seattle) and needed a sitter for our dog and had great results. You don't necessarily need a professional (whatever that means when it comes to looking after a dog) to look after a pup for a couple days. Nothing wrong with contacting a couple choices from dogvacay and then go with your gut. Someone who has raised their own pups in the past should have a pretty good handle on the needs of a 9 week old pup.

We currently use a great girl (university student) to dog sit for us when we leave town. She isn't a professional either? But, I'd totally trust her with our dogs, our house, our car, etc. She's fantastic.

Good luck!
