Recycle your rags at Value village and Goodwill

Just wanted to remind ppl that you can recycle old clothes, rags etc at these places cuz they sell them in bulk to private companies.

This is an independent film which traces the path of western countries used clothing and its detrimental effect on developing countries ... makes you think twice about where your used cloths end up, the donations end up abolishing local industries and in turn these countries become dependent on handouts from western countries, its worth it to watch, Jamaica is used a the case study

had no idea, thought that the rags could be recycled into clothing again. that was what I thought since I know that they used to "sell" the rags

btw I checked a goodwill donation centre (not a store) and the girl said they don't take rags anymore...not sure if all goodwills are like that, or if value village has changed its policy
