Look for open box units too....I just stumbled across one marked down to $99 at the Park Royal FS (that was cosmetically and functionally fine)....for that price, it's an amazing setup.

anything looks better than the spherex speakers. I mean those things look nasty. the control box looks like an alarm clock, the remote is huge and the speakers look like lizard heads.

But im still going to get my set later today.

IMO the Spherex looks way better than the Pioneer.

IMO the Spherex looks way better than the Pioneer.

I did read about the omnipolar technology and it sounds amazing. I will be doing a good job of hiding my speakers anyways, so not a big deal. I like to keep my setup clean as possible.

Its not on their site for some reason but its still in stores. Was $499 when it first came out. Everyone has it for $299 right now (London Drugs), FS $199.

Top notch reviews, Im tempted - nice clean, simple setup for the 360 when you dont want to deal with a receiver. This is a very good deal, considering it even comes with optic. cable.

i saw these at FS going for $200 (tagged) before xmas... so i think FS has permanently dropped the price for a short period of time already...


as for the PM, you'll have to have a local NCIX around to get that $156 PM price at FS....

I almost want a second set of these as a 'backup' or to give away as a gift down the road - hard to resist the price (but where to store box?)

I just got a set - sound incredible for the price. Sure a separate system sounds better, but costs $1000 to boot. These are great sounding for small and medium rooms (condos, bedrooms, etc)

Add in 3 digital connections and your LAUGHING!

add again: I wonder how better RCA cables would make them sound? Perhaps not enough Watts going to the speakers to really make a diff?

Upgrade the speaker wire to 12 gauge. But not cheap at roughly 90 cents a foot. Home depot is cheapest. I have some lying around and plan on doing that tonight. Going to sound amazing!

I've had these speakers for about a month now, PM'd them from FS at 163$ (don't ask, just read my thread on this story!) and I am quite simply amazed. I am VERY happy with them, and movies sound wonderful! Ordered 12ft fiber optic cables from eBay at 99 cents since my 6ft is a bit too awkward for placement. LOVE the 3 digital inputs, omnipolar sound, sharp highs and thumping lows, well balanced speakers, and room-filling capacity. Look beyond the XBOX name, and get them before they sell out!

Same here,... got mine for $99,... only mine wasn't open box,... it's brand new from BB a few months back.

FS in Kanata ON had them at $199 before Xmas, and Boxing Week... I haven't been in that store for over a week and at that time they had 2 unopened boxes.
