How many in a package?
And is there a sugar-free variety?

Cheap red bull knock off
At shopper's, they're offering Red Rain, which is a private label I believe of the product Red Bull. Red Bull usually retails for about $2.50 to $2.99 per can while SDM is selling it right now for $1.99 with a buy 1 get one free promo. This means $1 each can. Great for those who actually drinks this stuff ( I ocassionaly do, right before a dragon boat race or exam)
Plus, mix it w vodka and you get red bull-vodka, a crazy gets you up and down drink. Of course, you 30+ year olds won't understand why we drink this. By the way, i'm 23.
Cheers

search seems to show these are cases of 24, which is good deal @ 14.99... however, search also indicated it may have been discontinued in Markham Costco. Can anyone confirm? Thanks in advance.

dont mix alcoholicd drinks with energy drinks...it has been banned in the clubs for a reason and it states that on the energy drinks itself..a couple of cases have been registered where teenagers have died after taking that mix in the clubs..I dont know the scientific reasoning behind it..but JUST DONT MIX ENERGY DRINKS WITH ALCOHOL!!

Aug 20th, 2006 09:19 PM #8Red Rain and Red Rave seem to be the same (I've gotten Rave at Costco, Rain at Real Canadian Superstore). They're both imported from the US by Cott, and their packaging is near-identical. This article about their introduction says "Red Rave is made exclusively for Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd., while Red Rain is available to its other retail clients. Loblaw Cos. Ltd. is among those carrying the Red Rain line."

Aug 20th, 2006 09:22 PM #9The risk is what makes the drink even more alluring. You feel like cheating death with a taboo drink that has caused deaths in Europe.

The student from Limerick, Ireland, died after sharing four cans of the drink with friends before a basketball game.
At his inquest, the coroner called officials from the Austrian-based company to give evidence about their product. They said that no adverse effects had been proven in connection with the drink.
The inquest jury later ruled that the teenager had died as a result of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, but called for an inquiry into high-caffeine energy drinks.

Aug 20th, 2006 09:29 PM #10Can anyone verify the SDM deal? It would work out to $24 dollars for a 24 case. Not a good deal if you are looking for 24 cans, but those of us that want 2 or 4 cans I guess this is perfect.
