Refund for WJ Fuel Surcharge

I purchased plane tickets less than 48 hours prior to WJ removing their fuel surcharge. Has anyone been successful in having this refunded? From them or AC.

The rebooking charge would be more than the savings on the fuel surcharge so can't do it that way.

However WJ did give me the surcharge back as a credit, which I thought was pretty fair. More then AC has ever done for me.

for AC, that's the main reason why I am not buying my EU trip ticket, because fuel surcharge may eliminate anytime b4 I go for my trip. So, if they cut off the surcharge, after I purchase my ticket... then I am just "DONATED" money to AC?? o no...
