I have no clue what that trkID is and I don't know if it will work for everyone, but it worths a shot.

Be sure to remove the private registration that cost $11 at checkout to make the total $0.5.
Also, disable domain auto renewal, or transfer out after 90 days if you think the renewal is too expensive.

by the way such deals are nice, I've used them before. If you already have a hosting package that allows adding more domains to it, then its pretty good. you get a .com for $0.50 for a year.
