Registering an Out of Province Vehicle
I have a quick question,
has anyone here registered an out of province newer model car? I'm trying to register my corolla (07) in Ontario and I followed these steps:
http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dan...rgoutcan.shtml
It says under #4 that current model cars are exempt from emission tests. So I don't get one.
When I head to the MTO, the lady tells me the computer is asking her for an e-test code and she needs one. I was forced to buy some $15 10 day permit and take the e-test.
i'm not sure if she is correct but i dont want to waste any more money registering my car. any ideas?

you don't need an etest if you are renewing a sticker, but registering a car need an etest and safety there 35 bucks everywhere that will be all you need to do..

Do you mean that your car is a 2009 model because you wrote 2007?

As a consumer protection measure, an emissions test is required for an ownership transfer for vehicles with a model year older than the current calendar year to help ensure that consumers do not unwittingly purchase a used vehicle with emissions problems
