Reliable Washer and Dryer?
Hope this is the appropriate forum...
We have an LG TROMM front load washer, and are tired of dealing with mold issues. We've read all the tips online, leave the door open on it, run bleach cycles, use HE powder soap, nothing works. Doesn't surprise me that there are a bunch ofclass action lawsuits against all the companies making front load washers in the US due to mold issues.
Anyway, going back to a top load washer. However, when I research online, it seems that just about every washer has tons of bad reviews posted.
So what are the best top loaders???
Thx!

I still have an old Viking from Sears (20+years) but i usually buy Kenmore brand and haven't had any problems thus far only recently i replace my 20+ year old Kenmore fridge with a newer model and hope it lasts just as long.
That said and i think someone posted a recall about Kenmore in here, i would still buy a Kenmore replacement appliance from Sears.

I have had good luck with my Kenmore toploader. Have you tried wiping the seal on your front loader with vinegar? I can't imagine getting rid of that very expensive machine!

My maytag washer is 20 yrs old and still going strong. Not one service call.
Don't know if they make them like this anymore though.

I asked this very same question to a professional of 20+ years in the appliance repair/parts business. His answer to me was "The best of the worst lot is the Whirlpool Duet" He imphatically stated that all washers and dryers will break sooner or later. Samsung and LG is more likely to break down a lot sooner than the Whirlpool and the odds of getting parts for Samsung or LG withnin 2 months are slim!!!
If money is not an issue, then go with the Miele!!!
