That's a tough one...I also use XP Pro but I am using the remote receiver on the Leadtek Winfast TV card and I mapped all the key buttons onto the Harmony.
The Winfast software allows me to use PowerDVD and of course the TV tuner.
The kick of it is my new 780G mobo from Gigabyte allows the remote to power up the system from S3 sleep which is great, no other mobo that I have does it (they only power up from OFF).
I find those free front ends quite buggy for my use so I'm not using any of them.

this one interfaces thru a USB so I am hoping that it is less buggy, but I really dont have any experience with this yet!
Did you map the buttons, using the "learn" function of the Harmony or did you program it?

I learn them...actually can't remember exactly lol
my general rule of thumb - if the drop down menu is very different from the actual buttons on the remote, I just use learn function.

yeah after much time putzing around with the Logitech interface, I am starting to agree that the easiest way is just to teach the remote!
Unfortunately, in this case, I dont have a MCE remote to do that! I am stuck trying to figure out how to get MCE capabilites loaded onto the remote using the interface, with the hopes that it might be able to reveal that there are some preexisiting IR capabilities!
