If you're audio upgrades are of significant value, you need to declare it to your company to be able claim theft damages, otherwise they will base re-imbursement in your stock unit.

Wow, you have some stupid friends.
You can upgrade your car radio. Your battery starts the car, nothing hooked up to it would cause an accident.
