Beware that most video stores dont rent you the whole season but only 1 dvd at a time. So if in 1 season there are 4 dvd's all together you will have to rent all 4 seperately, so it's pretty pricey. Blockbuster carries most popular series.

I see your location is Mississauga. Have you tried the library system? You can go on-line and search under DVD with the tv show names. It's how I got to watch a show like ROME without selling my child to buy it
. You can request from any library to be sent to yours to pick up.

Video stores
If you don't want to take the time to download them, which is quite easy and costs less than renting, then go to your nearest blockbuster and you can pick up most of the good series. For instance I have found dexter, the wire, entourage, and more all at these stores.
Keep in mind that you will probably be spending more money by renting since each dvd rental only contains about 3 to 4 episodes of each season, so you are usually roped into renting 4 disks or so, and at almost $6 a pop it adds up.
Otherwise, I suggest using something to download these shows so that you can watch them on your computer or on your tv, its much more enjoyable.
Have fun and good searching._______________

A lot of TV shows on DVD at Rogers and BBV also qualify as weekly rentals, so rent three discs at a time for under $10. Either watch them all in a week or copy the DVD.
Or as someone suggested download the torrents.

Blockbuster.
Using the office as an example.
Seasons One (One Disc) and Two (Four Disc) are Blockbuster Favorites which cost $3.99 each or rent 3 for $8.99, etc.
Season Three & Four are considered New Releases and cost $6.59 each. I keep forgetting to ask but they give you a Discount if you Rent Four DVD's at once.
If you are a Rewards Member, you can use $2 off. Don't forget you get a Free Rental after renting Five New Releases._______________

best bet would be to rent tv shows with an online rental company like
zip.ca or cinemail.ca
well zip has a great selection of tv shows there not the good in getting them to you.
cinemail doesn't has as many, but there more reliable._______________

Cheapest place in Toronto is Queen Video. Whole seasons rented out at once, reasonably cheap. Huge selection. 3 Locations downtown.
If you feel like going to Richmond Hill, there's DVD Mansion at Woodbine/7. Also a huge selection. Rent whole season at a time. A little more expensive than Queen Video, but still good.
Most other places rent per disc, not nearly as good a selection and the costs really adds up.
There's also online rental, but tv shows are notoriously slow to get.
