So I dropped my cellphone and the screen cracked. I had him repaired by a shop for around $200 (my cellphone is less than 1-year old, costs around $450, figured out it would be worth it). They had to replace the glass screen and the LCD. After picking it up I noticed the screen is not 100% operational - the lower right edge is insensitive and the lower left edge sometimes generates a touch on the right side. In practice, typing anything is a ***** - keys L, O, P will be understood as I and K for the first 4 or 5 tries and key A will usually bring an "L" together with it. I can't play some games that depend on pressing these areas as well.
I brought it back to the repair shop and they told me that that's the way it is, since these are not original parts, yadda yadda. If they told me that before I green-lighted the repair I could very well look into spending $100 more and getting a newer phone. Am I in the wrong here? Is this "repairs are never perfect" thing something everybody just know and I should see it coming?

Yes your completely right, i would ask for a complete refund or an oem screen. Hopefully you paid by cc and and gt your money back if they refuse. The whole point of the repair is to bring the phone back to a fully functioning state and if that wasn't possible they should have warned you before hand.

Cool, that gives me more confidence.
I wonder what they will do if they do, since they probably tossed my cracked screen and the old LCD...
