Replacing wired carbon monoxide detectors

Do all of my wired carbon monoxide detectors at home need to replaced at the same time? Do they need to be the same make and model?

Best to replace all levels at same time, same brand. It's easier to remember when it's time to replace them next time.

some are good for 10 years, some 8, some more, it tells u the expiry on the unit, so check the unit, but yes best advice change them ALL when the earliest one requires it, so its easier and piece of mind, also buy the new ones all in one shot so they all have the same expiry date, makes it easier

If you buy the same brand, the install is likely simpler, same plug, same mounting plate...
