Hello Unhaggle,

I'm really confused by everything despite your best attempts to explain things.

How do I figure out what is the lowest price I could potentially pay for a car? I realize there are non-negotiable things such as tire taxes, but how do I find out what sort of incentives are available to dealers?

I'm looking to buy a Honda Odyssey 2017 touring edition from a dealer in Calgary some time in the next few months.
What price should I be looking to pay and is it worth waiting a few months to see if any incentives or deals open up?
If so how will I know when there is a new incentive?

Thanks

Is there a way to get the cost on an extended warranty from Mazda for the 2017 Mazda 3 GS sedan, to bring the comprehensive warranty to 5 years / unlimited mileage? Dealer claims $1700 cost and is dropping to $1200, though I see no proof of the amount.

Hi maneatinggiraffe,

Generally speaking, the lowest price to pay for a car is a certain percentage above invoice price for the car (usually around 3%-7%), but regional expenses, accessories and dealership expenses are added on after that. We provide information on incentives on this site as well as on the free dealership report that you can get on our site. For your model, there are currently no direct incentive to cash, finance, or leasing, although there is a loyalty program in place if you are a returning Honda customer.

You can inquire once a month for incentive updates, but our recommendation would be to keep an eye online for deals that open up, take use of our free dealer cost report, and to get in contact with some of our agents at contact@unhaggle.com.

2017 Honda Odyssey Touring
Base MSRP: $49,190
Invoice Price: $45,255
