So I’m curious who’s as hyped as I am for Resident Evil 2 - Remake!

There’s a bunch of new videos that came out showing new gameplay and it looks amazing so far.

Has anyone else pre-ordered the collectors edition?

I pre-ordered the Collector's Editon although it is $240.
I never played Resident Evil 2 but I like the Resident Evil 1 remake.

Resident Evil 4 is my favourite in this series. I dislike RE6 and most of RE7.

If you haven’t played RE2 original you really are missing out a LOT. The original had two different scenarios that the Remake won’t have apparently. There’s other things which I myself had complety forgeten was in it which made me fall in love with originally.

I’d reccomend buying RE2 original as it’s relatively cheap digitally and playing it.

Good memories but I am tiring of the remakes at new game pricing. Will wait for the bargain bin. Would rather sink my $$ into Devil May Cry 5.

A remake like this is going to be far superior to a remaster which is what I’m guessing you are referring to.

Personally, I can’t wait for this game to come out. Loved the second one back in the Ps1 days

I'm surprised there is a lack of hype for Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5. Maybe it's Capcom's marketing or these franchises don't have the same appeal as it did in the 2000s.

Yeah I don’t understand why they don’t promote it more?

Maybe they know it’ll do well like the RE 1 and 0 releases?

The why not just call it Resident Evil 8? You can dress it up as much as you want. I've been there and done 80% of it. The new 20% is not worth full retail price IMO. As such, will wait for the bargain bin a few months down the road.

I have, it’s literally a one time play only and it only last 30 minutes. You cannot play it ever again after the 30 minutes passes, hence the name “one-shot”. It lets you start inside Raccoon City Police Station, it feels as though it a full game but a trial run only if that makes sense?

The graphics are amazing(to me at least) and the gameplay was fun. Controls are easily learned and well balanced. The game locations seem to be similar as the original game but they look quite different obviously as it’s more advanced graphics.

I only had the chance to fight regular Zombies. I did see the Lickers in the background but I did not get to them as the game time was u for me.

Overall I’m really excited to play it and I’m excited for the release. I pre-ordered the Collectors edition($240) so there goes a day and half worths of working to pay for it lol.

It appears only the XBox One X version does not drop any frames below 60 FPS on consoles. PS4 Pro has some drops to the low 50s under stress.

PS4 regular and XBox One regular have major fluctuations and stutters. Maybe Capcom should lock the framerate at 30 on the lower end models.

I will try out the demo later today.

When playing through the game you would notice spikes in smoothness, choppiness, or image and controller lag when the framerates are not locked
to a constant 60 or constant 30 frames per second.
