I thought the scene of her running down the side of the building in RE2 was really stupid, is she spiderwoman now??? These movies are ok at best, I was really disappointed they didn't use Chris Redfield as the protragonist.

Sony's Screen Gems has set a September 7, 2007 release date for the anticipated third installment, Resident Evil: Extinction, directed by Russell Mulcahy and written by Paul W.S. Anderson. The video game adaptation will star Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr, Mike Epps, Ali Larter, Chris Egan, Ashanti, Iain Glen, Sienna Guillory, Spencer Locke and John Eric Bentley.

Directed by the guy who did Highlander....20 years ago....I guess it's better than the first-timer that made RE:Apocalypse...

It looks like it could be OK...might see it as part of a theater hop or I'll just wait for it on DVD.

That trailer disgusted me.

Resident evil has never been about and hopefully will never be about world reaching outbreaks. Its got an amazingly complex plot involving a pharmasudical company testing out viruses to use in wars... or on subjects to use in wars. The key is it is on a micro scale... which allows a single character to believably become the hero and save the day. On a macro scale either the hero isn't allowed to save the day or he's unbelievable. From what I've heard about the 2nd one... with some random chick hand to hand fighting the baddest of bad asses (nemesis... could even own the tyrant) and.. actually winnings.

I haven't seen either of the first two, although I'm sure I will in a few weeks when I get around to it, but I've heard they sucked. Really bad. They basically took an awesome franchise and made an almost entirely irrelevant film simply using the name to sell tickets. Like Hannibal Rising.

They might as well just call it ****** Land of the Dead ripoff.

Waiting with much more anticipation for World War Z, World of the Dead, Diary of the Dead and The Crazies (remake).
