resort fee and tipping
anyone know what the rules are when it comes to tipping (housekeeping, bellhops, etc.) at the hotel when resort fees are automatically charged at the end of the trip?

I'm not sure what resort you're specifically referring to, but as far as I know, gratuities are included in the price of the package (although you can always tip when you're there).

not unless you're going to Mexico, Cuba or those types of destinations. The workers there live off of those tips

If you are at a 4+Star resort you don't need to tip. As they are taken care of better by the hotel. I love not getting dirty looks if I don't tip every time I get a drink. Also love not having to bring my wallet to the pool. However if it's a sit-down dinner, then I will tip regularly.
