Restaurant owners/managers: why don't you accept credit card over the phone for take out?

Arranging to open a take out place, I researched that almost everyone doesn't accept credit card over the phone or online for take out places. Why is that? Is it risk of cancelled charges? Thank you in advance.

It's a huge privacy concern and most likely against TOS of the CC companies.

Because of scams.
It’s very easy for scammers to have chargebacks done, and the restaurant owner is out the funds and the food.
Lots of low lives out there, you’d be surprised.

Order form company that only take orders and delivery the food like Uber Eats and then you can pay by cc for the order.
The Devil made me buy it - RFD.
