Reverse audio channels?

I have ac97 onboard sound card, with 5.1 speakers connected, but what I would like to do is reverse the left/right channels (both front and rear if possible, but if I could only do front that would be ok).

Anyone know if this is possible? The windows control panel doesnt seem to be much help, nor the ac97 "sound effect" applet.

I know some games have this option in game, but I would like it to be static for all windows apps.

Thanks.

Why not just switch the wiring to the speakers? It sounds like you flipped the left and right when you where wiring it all up which is easy enough to do. You can't switch them in software (permenantly)
