OP has first hand experience with this guy and is helping fellow RFDers with this warning. So not sure why people are attacking OP.

Sure, believe what you want to believe.

Doesn't change the fact that I went to go see this car in person, met this guy in person and confronted him when we found out about the reversed km's.
And that was why I ASKED YOU if he admitted or how you found out. From the 2 ads you showed, yes, they do show resemblances, and if they are indeed from the same guy and they do look that way, I'd totally get your point.

I already did. But I'm not sold if this works or not. Sure they say 200 guilty verdicts, but how many pass through the system?

But is that all we can do? Police said they wouldn't do anything until OMVIC brought something to them.

If I hadn't purchased a carproof report, I would have definitely be screwed.

And pay ANOTHER $20 on a 4 or 5 (or even 6...) figure purchase!!!!
Better to spend $20 and find out than wasting time and getting fleeced out of 4, or 5 (or even 6...) figure purchase!!!

The seller, unless it's a dealer, must provide a used car package with the car. That will show the kilometres each time the car was sold. That should show if the odometer was turned back.
Seems like almost nobody knows that it’s the seller’s responsibility to provide the UVIP, not the buyer’s. Neutral Face
http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/ ... used.shtml

“By Ontario law, private sellers of most motor vehicles, including motorcycles, must provide buyers with a Used Vehicle Information Package.”

If the seller won’t provide the UVIP, demand a $20 discount off the sale price and get one yourself. Otherwise, just move along.

This is RFD where people whine about having to pay $5 for a bank draft for their 4 or 5 (or even 6...) figure purchase.

Not to doubt you OP but to say he's rolling back the kms on every car he sells when you only have experience with one is a bit much. This year when I renewed my sticker I gave the agent the wrong mileage by mistake, if I sell the car that would show up on the report but it's not factual.

I will agree the guy is obviously a curbsider and I wouldn't be inclined to purchase the vehicle.

Didn't it work with Ferris Bueller's reversing the km?

You are rolling either very naive or very dense. Or perhaps both.
