I've been selling my X for X coins on eBay and people are still buying them above issue. I sold my first $200 for $200 for $240.

After all the fees, aren't you earning like $10?
Have a nice day!

Better than nothing, and maybe a good way to earn feedback.

Anyways, anyone noticed that the Whispering Maple is no longer on the mint's website? Not even archived? And it's not that old of a coin...

Doesn't seem to work for my Britannia 2015 UK £50 Silver coins from the Royal Mint. Selling them for 60 USD (£45) online but only got 1 bite so far. Neutral Face

Tried several banks here in Montreal, but haven't been able to find any of those sought after toonies. All of them say they haven't received any or that they haven't ordered any. Has anyone been able to get their hands on some in Montreal?

I stopped searching banks a few years ago, to frustrating. It's so hit and miss. These are that much tougher to find.

That's exactly what I was told. Couldn't find any in B.C. either. I just bought them from a dealer.

I'm cheap and don't want to pay a premium for circulation coins that have , supposedly, a large number minted. At face value, I'll hoard a few rolls. But more than $2, I'm not that interested in it.

If that's the case, I guess the only option is to get one in your change. So far, I got one Canada 150 Toonie but that is the non-GITD one. I guess it wasn't picked off since it looked like any other toonie.

As for numbers, the GITD toonie is relatively low compared to other circulation coins. There is supposed to be only 3 million of them compared to 5 million of the Shannon and Wait for Me Daddy coins. The mintage for regular toonies can go as high as 82 Million (2012).

The main reason why banks don't have the Canada 150 coins is they did not order from the RCM. Banks, for the most part, get coins from cash & currency processing companies like GardaWorld, Loomis, and Brinks. These companies also handle the ATMs.

On a side note, did anyone get their Toonie orders from Imaginare? Never heard from them since June. So I just ordered 4 from Colonial Acres.
Have a nice day!

I like this coin design and mintage, but not the price
Maybe The Coin Shoppe will get a few. His prices are usually lower.
