I just noticed that the 2018 "Ice Crystals" Enameled coin is now "Call to Order" at Gatewest, and the 5% discount has been removed.

Saw this at the Post Office today and have to admit that it's very nice, but I expect it to drop 30% soon, like all the rest. Am I missing something?
Winter and holiday themed coins are always duds, I would save your money for the new renewed silver dollar coming at the end of the month.

That beats the record for the quickest drop ever...almost 24% on second day of public release.

Anyone know if the toonie rolls (with some GITD ones) are still available from banks in GTA? If so where?

"If someone wants to buy Golden Maple Leaf extremely cheap ($80 cheaper than IP)"

Wouldn't he make more money, or rather loose less money returning them? When I looked, it was showing he had 3 available. This coin show as Sold Out at RCM.

I'm pretty sure it's an error.

Edit: the price has been changed, but one person managed to sneak one coin.

I think the ship has sailed. I have asked at my main branch Royal bank and other branches and they had no idea so I gave up.

It's because most banks do not order coins from the RCM. They get currency and coins from cash handling companies like Brinks and Gardaworld.
Have a nice day!

I don't know. Probably. But its up to each bank branch individually and they just get their daily and weekly cash needs from the cash handling companies. They can't wait for their order from the RCM to arrive.
Have a nice day!

That is so true every time I asked the teller`s if they received any I got mostly blank looks and they had to ask somebody else.

The banks order coins through their regional head office ie in Southern Ontario area it's King St Toronto, they will use recycle coins to keep costs down, but when they are low in say toonies , they will place an order to Winnipeg and pay extra shipping and handling fees by the RCM. The bulk order dept. was stopped this year for the public use to prevent 150 hoarding, as such these coins were randomly shipped to the banks 5 regions, as many of us found through searching many branches one can conclude that the armour services must have allowed their personal to purchase these 150 coins before they reached the branches. Everyone I talked to in the TO area had to buy them on the secondary market. Another bright move by the RCM, instead of getting these coins to collectors, it made some armour service employees bonus money.
