Is there info on what is the error/recall about?
Well, in the article the following was stated:
"The planned release date was changed to resolve a design issue with the stamp booklet, according to Phil Legault, media relations manager with Canada Post. The stamp will be available for sale online on Nov. 20 and in post offices later that week."

Someone over at the SCF posted booklets he was able to purchase before they were pulled. I guess we have to wait until Nov20 to figure out what the differences are.

BTW, that UNESCO error souvenir sheet is selling for CAD100+ now. Not bad & better than RCM stuff...

Campbell, who said he's aware of another "really large program in Canada that's ripe for abuse,"  Anyone know which program?

I’d also like to know Money-mouth Face I took advantage of both mentioned, to a much smaller scale of course and my motives at the time were different.
Commemorative loonie rolls, quarter rolls, 50 cent rolls all different kinds of rolls contact for details. Venetian glass bee $250 plus shipping. 20for20 canoe $30 shipped 20for20 polar bear $30 shipped. Lots of 5 packs loons, toons and quaters

Just picked up 25 Hanukka stamp booklets. No gamble because they can be returned within 14 days, and by then we'll all know what the design error is.

Worst case scenario is that I don't have to buy stamps for a while. : - )

Thanks for the hot tip, Mansun!

Are these still at post offices? I may check the one near me later today.

I bought them last night before the staff had a chance to read the memo this morning. Once they read that memo they will pull them.

A couple of years ago I got to the P.O. first thing in the morning and bought a bunch of Unesco booklets before the manager had a chance to do anything.

Next time he saw me he told me I was lucky and gave me a thumbs up...lol

I find it hard to believe anyone would pay over $100 for these stamps when we don't even know what the error is yet... might just be initial hype. With everyone listing these on eBay, prices are bound to fall.

If the change is to the booklet only but not the stamps then prices will fall for sure. Someone on SCF mentioned that the text in the booklet may be the issue:
"I have a feeling that it may be on how the booklet is worded regarding "Judaism's holiest site, the Temple in Jerusalem" since there are different current conflicting claims over its site regarding Palestinian vs Israeli claims. Thus, this wording might be changed to something more like "the Jewish Temple" without mentioning holiest site and Jerusalem in it."
If I had any, I'd sell maybe half of what I bought right now. But then I don't have any... :(
