West Edmonton Coin just raised price of Meteorite Coin to $229.95.

Higher prices on eBay today, including Mario who raised price to $209.95 plus shipping ($25 more)

Buyers are paying more. One sold on eBay today for $239.95 plus $19 shipping. Yesterday, a couple of sales for $229.95.

That's why I was wondering where he got it. RCM has the best policy for returns, allowing one year for defective coins.
I have two options: Return for refund or sell it on RFD. No exchanges allowed because the coin is all sold out.

I purchased it from the Mint.

Final call! If anybody wants the Carousel for $850, message me today.

Free return shipping to the Mint, regardless of the reason, makes it almost worth the extra 7% tax.

Scratches on capsules and pits in the coin usually don't qualify for free return shipping with some dealers.

I had a negative experience with one dealer who told me "that's the way they're made." When I called RCM about it they said the buyer shouldn't have to pay for return shipping because it's a defect.

The same dealer also forgets to mention crushed boxes and other defects on some of their listings. Deceptively shows them as perfect in the photos. In that case this dealer should pay for return shipping for "failure to disclose."

Live and learn.

I don't understand why reputable eBay sellers aren't selling the Carousel Coin for $1,000 when dealers are selling them at $1,200. (No eBay sales for over a month.)

Also, icollector auction has one at a current price of about $1,212 (incl. fees) plus shipping, with a couple of days to go. They state: "item as is, no warranty given."

I'd rather buy from an eBay seller with good feedback than take the chance on an auction like this.

The reason no carousel coins are moving is the buyers are giving low ball offers for listings that have the best offer option, which is every listing on eBay. I got several offers for $800, $820, and $850 which does not cut it because of the high eBay/Paypal fees. You are losing money at those prices.
Have a nice day!

If these buyers offer another $150 or so, they still could get the coin for $200 less than it would cost from a dealer.

I think the only solution is to remove the best offer option, but then all sellers would have to do it.

Time for some collusion, just like the banksters who rig our markets.
